Well, another few weeks have come and gone, getting us closer to the end of summer and the beginning of school. Barrett had a great time in Canada with the Scouts the last week in July, while Damon and I tried to keep ourselves busy with pool time, playing with friends, going to the library, and discovering McDonald's play place:) Barrett's grandma passed away that week and all the funeral arrangements were planned and carried out before he was even back in Delaware. We were lucky enough to have Barrett's parents here the first week of August. They flew out the day after the funeral to get Grandpa here for meetings and Grandma here for playing:) Damon LOVED having special friends to be at his every beckon call. I enjoyed not having to provide this kind of attention myself, especially after the week before being the sole attention provider! Grandma Ro brought lots of fun gifts for Damon, one being a little Elmo doll. It was love at first sight. It has been fun watching Damon and "Ah-mo" eat fishy crackers, brush teeth, brush hair/fur, and being clutched around the house. We were able to take the in-laws down to Dover to look at the beautiful State buildings and where Barrett will be earning his first paycheck after he graduates. Barrett and his dad were able to fix our speaker/stereo problems in our car and now we can listen to music again!! Damon loves to call it "dance!" and makes sure we have music on that he likes--car rides have been a world of difference since we got the music back and working:) We were able to visit the Herrs Potato chip factory again and loved eating fresh chips. Grandpa finally got to enjoy Woodside Farms ice cream and definitely approved! We enjoyed our visitors and it was sad to have them go, but they'll be back again for more meetings (lucky for us that the meetings keep happening on the east coast!). Now it is back to our little family and we're trying to get things back to normal...although we'll have to adjust again next week when Barrett starts back at school for the last year!!!!
Now on to pictures...

Damon "mix"ing cookies with mom:)

The door handle was just the right size for Diggy boy.

Damon helped Grandpa "mix" biscuits--notice him patting the dough and the flour all over him!

Watching the thunderstorm.

Damon ran into the kitchen one morning to show me he had put his shoes on by himself! He was so proud--it was too cute!

Ok, can I tell you how much I love that shot of Damon up on his little chair watching the storm. That's pretty darn cute!
