New Tie
Damon's been wanting a tie for church. I finally found some at The Children's Place. The toddler ties were a little short and the 4-7 ties were a little long, but oh well. We picked out a snazzy tie and he loved wearing it Sunday. When we got to church, he ran up to the organ to show his Daddy. When Barrett came to sit with us after the sacrament, Damon immediately said, "Hey Dad, want to roll our ties?" I guess it is a game where you roll your tie up to the knot then let it fall. It was pretty cute to see him so excited about a tie...I'm pretty sure that will change when he's 14 or 15. After the intermediate hymn, Barrett stayed up on the stand. I bent down to pick up a toy for Tommy and when I sat up, Damon was running up to the organ! Uh...panic. I saw Barrett turn off the organ as Damon hopped up beside him...that could've been bad. A few minutes later, Damon ran back down. Then, both boys were vocalizing their dislike for having to sit in the pew, so we headed out to the foyer. I got a few comments afterwards from people with grown up children that said, "We remember those days." Next time I'm sending the boys to them:)

Love Day and Other Days
Saturday: pink heart pancakes for breakfast, Barrett with the youth to the temple, mom and boys went to the grocery store then to a friend's house to decorate cupcakes, I watched a Hallmark movie:)
Sunday: super cold shower!, church, made mini lava cakes (simple version...not so amazing), looked in our Valentine's Day bags, ate candy, sang Skiddle Ma Rink a Dink (sp?), talked to Kim, had friends over, Barrett made us filet mignon, mashed potatoes, tangy beans and crescent rolls, tried to protect Rhone from Tommy attacking him, talked to parents.
Monday: went to the mall, let Damon run, bought Damon new clothes (JCPenny coupon $10 off $25!!!), got back in the car, then had to run everyone back inside the mall to get Damon to the bathroom, went to Sam's Club, talked about snakes and venom, played with Damon for hours, danced/played "guitar" to Jack Johnson, "Hallomevening", played "Ladies and Gentlemen", watched Angels and Demons (Barrett slept through most of it!), Damon came down at midnight and slept on me for the last few minutes of the movie, then when I told him I was going to take him to his bed he replied sleepily, "Every night I come down here and you watch a show and when your done, I sleep in your bed. Every night." HILARIOUS! We couldn't dispute that.
Tuesday: tried to go to the library, sat behind someone stuck in the snow/slush/ice, realized I was slipping around too, turned around and went home, sad sad Damon, played downstairs forever...running and hiding and playing "Ladies and Gentlemen", blogging:)

Updates
So, there are some people who have been wondering if we're still alive. Yep, we're still here. We have have been snowed in the last 6 or 7 days out of 13 and only received mail once in the last 7 days! The snow plows have only been down our street 1 1/2 times and Barrett just about cried when he saw the street today! Out food storage is in need of replenishing and a little updating, but thank goodness we had power the entire time!! We're looking forward to actually going to church tomorrow! Here's some more updates.
We have been noticing how fun Tommy is lately. He loves to play on the stairs. He can finally stand up from a sitting/squatting position (love that baby squat!). He loves to look at books, then walk up and hand it to you, then do that sweet little baby back up onto your lap. He can say, "up" or a form of it, "ma ma" and "da da". He loves to roam and play and explore. He goes down to sleep with no struggles! He's working on a few molars...one is fully in, and 3 are cutting...it is funny because they're not the teeth right next to the ones he has already, but they skip a spot! He is a sweetheart and we adore him:)

Damon, like always, is trying our patience. He is constantly changing underwear, shirts, shorts!, pants, pajamas, everything! I never know what is clean or what it dirty. He even tried on a pajama top since he didn't have anymore pants...he then showed me he didn't have anything on underneath! He is definitely turning into a BOY. He thinks bodily functions are sooooo funny. He loves to show us his booty and thinks he's hilarious! One day Barrett asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up (hoping he'd say a lawyer since they had just been talking about it) Damon replied instantly, "a eye doctor". Barrett exclaimed, "What?! An eye doctor...who paid you to say that?" Damon said, "Grandpa Tom!" (Grandpa Tom is an eye doctor and no, he didn't really bribe Damon to say that!) He's also started crying over everything. Seriously? How annoying. He loves to snuggle up with us in the middle of the night. In a way it is reassuring...since there are many moments throughout the day he's in trouble, at night, he still loves us and we love him:)

Hello Sunshine!
Sunday was a nice sunny day. We sure needed it! Barrett spent about 5 hours outside with the shovel. Tommy and Damon lasted a little while, but it was still really cold. We're still stuck and not sure we'll ever get plowed...seriously.

So we're kinda running out of activities. We made towers out of boxes to knock down, had box car races, and even had a bean bag toss with the boxes...until Damon mastered it. Another day stuck...hopefully we'll remain sane.

Uhh...
I don't think we're going anywhere anytime soon...

It hasn't even been snowing 24 hours yet and we're stuck. Barrett measured 22 inches out by our driveway (we think it was the driveway) and it is still coming down. It is so weird though...half our deck is clear as well as the side of our house. The wind has been making some serious drifts. Damon wasn't brave enough to venture out this time, so Barrett went to explore solo. I'm glad he made it back:)

Dancin' Afternoons
We discovered a new feature on our keyboard/piano...the tempo button. Damon loves dancing to songs on the keyboard anyway, but with the tempo button...a whole new world has been discovered! We can speed up the song to make it "crazy" or slow it down. Today, mid-dance, Damon runs up the stairs. I asked where he was going, and he replied,"to get my dancing clothes on." He then came down with pajamas on:) I'm not sure why this video clip doesn't have much sound, but notice the few comando rolls that Damon does:)
