Another Week of Summer

Damon lost another tooth. I think he's up to 5 now...unfortunately the Tooth Fairy was so busy this week that it took 2 extra nights for her to finally get to him!

Tommy built this one morning. It basically defies gravity. 2 triangles upside down hold the entire structure. He's pretty amazing!
We tested out one of our crafts for our upcoming family reunion. The boys loved painting rocks.

It was a tutu kind of day:) Her first!
We had a fun morning at Fifer's this week. The boys rode the new swings forever! Hannah watched, then we picked blueberries, ate mini donuts, and rode the swings some more. We love that place!

We were invited to a temple wedding this weekend. Our friends helped us out by watching our kids at the temple and we watched theirs. Then we all went to the zoo.

One day we watched some kids while their mom was at girls' camp. We made paper airplanes and the boys flew them forever. We also tried making ice cream in a bag...it totally worked and tasted really good! Unfortunately, Hannah's first kiss went horribly wrong and she ended up getting bit on the lip by a cute boy not much older than her.

One night Barrett got called to help someone jump their car, so he took the boys. When they came back, Barrett said,"Tell mom what we did boys." Damon said, "We did service." Tommy said, "Yeah, we did surgery!"

Barrett was released from his church calling of Young Men's President which he had for the last 3+ years. We had a few weeks where he only played the organ at church...which meant he didn't have to go to early morning meetings. I have gotten myself and the kids ready for church every Sunday since he has to leave before us. It was a nice break until he was called to be the 1st counselor in the Branch Presidency. Now he leaves even earlier Sunday mornings and I'm once again getting everyone ready for church alone. (And for some reason, the boys completely forget how to dress themselves Sunday mornings!)

Weekend Fun with Guests

My old roommate and her family came Friday evening. The kids loved playing. It was such a great night, that we ate ice cream cones outside and played. What a way to spend the official first day of summer!

The next morning we went down to the beach. Everyone had a fabulous time!

 A cute little mermaid!

Saturday evening, we took watermelon to the park after dinner.

It was fun having guests come to church with us.
These two little cuties loved staying up late with the adults while the rest of the kids were in bed. We had a great time with friends and are so glad they came before moving west.

Summer Lovin'

I didn't take many pictures this week, but we had a lot of summer fun! Tuesday we did a little science experiment to see if objects would sink or float. Then we met up with some friends at the park for lunch. A thunderstorm blew through and we spent a lot of time under the pavillion. Little by little the kids got wet and before we knew it, they were drenched and loving it! At one point I looked over and Tommy was laying on his back in a puddle and Damon was on his tummy. Wednesday we went to the library and went on an evening walk. Thursday, the weather was beautiful. The boys played outside and had a little picnic lunch with their neighbor friend, then jumped the afternoon away on his trampoline. After dinner, we went to the concert on the green. It was such a pleasant evening and the kids loved running and playing while Barrett and I sat on the blanket with Hannah. My ol' roommate and her family came Friday for a fun filled weekend!

Hannah girl would not sleep one day! By the time dinner time rolled around, she couldn't stay awake!

The boys love playing and jumping on the neighbor's trampoline. Damon's gotten really good a doing flips.

I've been having the boys choose one dinner each week that they want to help me make. They love it! This week Damon made taco soup, corn bread, and honey butter. Tommy had mac n cheese and bread.

Beach Lovin' Day and Father's Day

Our friend's little boy turned one, so we met up with them and other friends at the beach early Saturday morning. It was the best! Our kids get up early, so we got to the beach around 8:15 or so. We had to get Tommy to another birthday party, so had to leave around 10, but those few hours were so fun.

Tommy wearing Daddy's shades on the way to the beach.
Damon wanted a picture with the sunglasses too...little gansta pose.
Lovin' the beach! Hannah girl loved it too. She crawled around and explored and tasted a sea shell and a little sand.

Hannah and her little boyfriend/birthday boy. I told my friend that we'll show these pictures on their honeymoon to Cancun someday:)

At one point, Tommy was running around in the waves and said, "I just love this!!!"  Damon loved doing cartwheels in the sand...I even did a few too!
The boys are eating their tasty smores birthday cake. Tommy wore that little birthday hat all the way home.
After the beach, we dropped Tommy off at his friend's Angry bird birthday party. He had a blast. He came home with a green piggie hat and angry bird ring. He had to use the bathroom on the way home, so Barrett took the kids into Kohl's to use the bathroom while I went looking for a bridal shower gift. Apparently Tommy had to tell Damon every detail of the party while using the bathroom, but then his hat almost fell in and his ring actually did fall in the toilet. Barrett, being the good dad that he is, fished it out! Tommy wore his little hat all day. I ran off to a bridal shower and loved being with other women and no kids:)

The boys left their Daddy hats to wear for his Father's Day breakfast. Tommy let him wear his hat from the party and Damon taped a sign to a birthday hat that said, "H Pappees Day!" Which meant, "Happy Pappy's Day". Pretty cute. Unfortunately, Barrett found out he still has Lyme disease and had to start an IV treatment this morning, so while he was at the doctor's, I was playing the organ in church while an awesome friend watched all 3 of my kids. I was hoping to get a picture of Barrett with all his kiddies, but somehow that never happened. We love him and are glad he's the dad around here:)
