Fall Fun

Friday afternoon we headed to the pumpkin patch. Tommy ran and ran the entire time. He found a pumpkin and had a pretty difficult time picking it up. Damon took a longer time making his selection and couldn't pick up his pumpkin either. We found a tiny one for Hannah too.

Friday night was Trunk or Treat at the church. Tommy was a skeleton and Damon a skeleton pirate. They had fun and love their costumes.

Since Barrett grew up loving the San Francisco Giants and they were in the World Series this year, we ordered the boys shirts. They loved them! Tommy loves to talk about "our team" with his dad.
Our sweet neighbor brought over this huge gift bag the other day with gifts for Hannah. This adorable little unicorn activity center was one of the gifts. Hannah seems to enjoy it so far:)
Since a hurricane is passing through...we decided we needed to enjoy the fall before it gets blown away. Saturday we enjoyed spending time downtown Dover playing in the leaves, taking pictures, playing hide and seek, having races, and calling our friends to come join us. It was perfect.

Barrett didn't have to go into work this morning, so he made jack o'lantern pancakes for us!

Stuff

When my mom was here, she brought these delicious gourmet caramel apples she had bought at a craft fair. They were so good that we decided to try making our own. We wimped out making homemade caramel and just used the little caramel balls. Still good, just not quite as good as the ones mom brought.

Hannah did her first craft! She made a little bat out of her hand prints. Tommy glued the eyes on and drew a face for her. Notice how tiny it is on the picture above? It just makes me happy:)
We have a picture of each of our kids like this...we call it the touchdown pose:)
Miss Hannah loves to be held, especially when she's sleeping...day or night. She is so adorable, we love her!

Damon won the writing contest at school for Kindergarten. He was recognized at an assembly today, so the whole fam went. You could tell he was a little nervous. They showed his picture and writing and read it aloud to everyone. We're so proud of him!!

She's growing! This is the first time I put her in this outfit and she's almost too big for it!

Tommy loves to get up close to Hannah and hug and kiss her and talk in a baby voice to her. When I'm about to feed her, he always says, "Are you ready for your feast?" in his baby voice...so funny.

Boys!

The boys love the boppy pillow. Damon thinks it makes a great lion:)

One night we heard a noise but didn't know where it came from. Later, Barrett was walking up the stairs and discovered Tommy, fast asleep, snoring, at the top. Apparently he had gone to the bathroom, then fell asleep before he could find us. We laughed a long time.
Barrett's boss gave us a box of scary Halloween masks and wigs a few years ago. I think they're way too scary for us, but the boys discovered them one day while playing with grandma.
We loved Tommy in this red wig...every time he ran, it bounced and flowed...it was hilarious!
Barrett took the boys on a little adventure Saturday. They hiked around Killens Pond...the entire 2.6 miles of it! He said Tommy ran without stopping the last 3/4 of it! They took a little stove and cooked mac n cheese for lunch and loved being outside.

Hannah Girl

We've had 2 weeks with our sweet Hannah Girl and we're all in love with her. She loves her sleep. Maybe a little too much because she hasn't been gaining any weight, but losing it. This doesn't make the pediatrician very happy, so we've been there twice and have to go back Monday. She also had to get tested for jaundice, but the rest of us think her coloring is just fine. The last 2 or 3 days, she's been doing much better eating on a more consistent basis, so I'm hoping she's packing it on. My mom left Friday and we were sure sad to see her go. Damon had the day off of school so lucky for me, Barrett only worked a half day so I wouldn't have to be home alone with 3 kids for the first time! Here's lots of pictures of this cutie her first 2 weeks.
Tommy wanted a picture with Hannah...so he posed:)

We printed off a picture for Damon to take to school to show his class. He didn't like any of the ones we already had, and insisted she wear a bow...this is the one he took.
 First bath time
My awesome ol' roommates sent Hannah this ultra soft cheetah blanket. I think she loves it!

Baby Hannah

Well she's here!! Sweet Baby Girl finally came...one day early:) Saturday, September 29th, Barrett and Tommy went to clean the church while sick Damon and I stayed home. Around lunch time, we picked up Tommy and went to Subway and hung out until Barrett got done cleaning. The boys hopped in the car to go to BWI to pick up grandma. I took a nap, but could tell things weren't quite right. I started occupying myself instead of panicking. I played on the computer, painted my toe nails, packed my hospital bag, prayed that I would know when to go to the hospital (with the last 2 I'd get there and be ready to deliver), and read my scriptures while timing contractions. After 3 recordings of 3-4 minutes apart, I decided to just drive myself to the hospital before things got really bad and I wouldn't be able to make it. I called Barrett on the way. At the hospital, when they finally got around to checking me, I was at a 7 so they moved me to a delivery room (actually, they made me walk there). I held onto my phone and prayed Barrett would make it...luckily he did!! About 30 minutes after he arrived, our sweet baby girl arrived!! We were surprised that she weighed in at 8 pounds 6 ounces. I felt a lot smaller throughout this pregnancy and thought for sure I might finally have a baby under 8 pounds...but no. Her cheeks were so big and squishy and she even had a double chin! We loved looking at her dark hair and hairy little ears:)

Since my mom had made it just in time, the boys were being taken care of so Barrett was able to stay with me that night. The next day he went home to shower and check on the boys and grandma. Damon's rash looked worse and we were worried about bringing him to the hospital. Barrett brought Tommy to visit. He was all smiles...or grins in his case:) He couldn't get enough of his baby sister...it was extremely cute! We let him watch a movie while we hung out staring at baby sister's cuteness.
We felt bad that Damon was sick and probably shouldn't be around his new sister, so I told Barrett to snag some face masks at the hospital entrance for Damon. My mom brought Damon over. He was really cute with her too, but after awhile, we got worried that he was infecting the entire room my investigating and touching everything there. They left during baby sister's bath time.

On Monday, I was finally cleared to go, but we had some paperwork to still complete. Barrett came over and we discussed a name for this little sweetheart. It sure was difficult!! We finally decided on Hannah and love it!
Here she is ready to go...look at those cheeks!!!
The boys made signs with my mom that morning. It sure was fun to come home to such a welcome!!
Tommy immediately started sharing toys with her...poor girl.
Barrett and Damon headed off on a little shopping adventure. They bought a Coldstone cake...pink...to celebrate Baby Hannah's birth day. They bought flowers for me and a new pink toy for Hannah.

These are Tommy's signs...apparently he's learning to write letters and his name...I never knew he was ready for it.

Barrett's parents sent me this delicious Edible Arrangement. We all loved it!!!

We have loved our Hannah girl so far. She loves to sleep...I have to wake her after 3-4 hours to eat. The boys adore her. Tommy loves to sing songs and dance for her. We have also loved having Grandma here. Barrett and I will be outnumbered in 2 days...
