We've played a lot outside this week with all the nice weather. We've gone to the park a few times, played in the sand, some of us have eaten handfuls of sand, played soccer, run and run until little legs couldn't run anymore, played with bubbles, dug in the dirt, face planted in the mud, and enjoyed the fresh air. Tommy got a tick after one of our outside adventures. Damon asked, "What kind of bug is that?" Me: a tick. Damon: is it going to tickle Tommy? Uh, no. We try not to let Tommy play with our library books. One day, Damon lined them all up on the couch so Tomsters couldn't reach them. He's been into drawing the last 2 weeks or so and is getting pretty creative. We are running out of spiral notebooks...maybe Grandma will have to bring more from my teaching box that I left in the basement the next time we see her. Damon has also been experimenting with emotions. He's figured out how to cry at the drop of a hat and is now working on making himself laugh. I can usually get him to laugh, really laugh, at almost anything, but he's trying it himself these days. Tommy is into mimicking, so it works on him!

I love his face before he does his laugh. It's like a little wind up.
