Provo and Payson

One of the days in Utah, we headed down to Provo to go to the BYU Bookstore and meet up with Grandma and JaVan at Brick Oven. I'm pretty sure every single road in Utah is being worked on...expanded, torn up, and such. It made our "quick" drive down there pretty aggravating and wishing I'd thought to bring the DVD player. We let Damon pick out a new BYU shirt, but wouldn't let him get a hat (maybe for his birthday...wink wink) so he threw a tantrum and yelled that he wanted to "look cool tomorrow" in his new shirt and hat. It was funny. We met up with Grandma and JaVan at Brick Oven for the delicious pizza! We went back to their house for some pie and to visit. Damon could remember the things he played with the last time we were there. JaVan let us drive her new car around the block and then took us down to see the basement apartment where Barrett lived when we started dating. The had some work done on it and it was so awesome!

One afternoon we headed down to Payson to pick some apples. Quinn is such a good friend and knows people all over the world...seriously! His friend's family has an apple farm in Payson, so he allowed us to come pick apples so we could make apple cider the next day. As we were driving to Payson, I was remembering my student teaching days there. I remember most of the experiences...principal, school name, some of the kids, my mentors, but I had not the foggiest idea how to get to the school or even the area of town it was in. Anyway, we had tons of fun picking apples. The boys loved it, but really just enjoyed eating tons of apples while picking. (They did taste pretty amazing!) The view was gorgeous also! We sure miss all the beautiful views in Utah!
