The Monday before Pioneer Day, our Family Home Evening was about pioneers. Hannah wasn't cooperating, so I took her upstairs and dressed her in my pioneer bonnet and apron. She loved it. She helped hold a poster to sing a Primary pioneer song too.
On Pioneer Day, we made our annual covered wagon treats. This year we used a granola bar, marshmallows, and banana slices for wheels. My parents texted me a picture of the ones they made with my sister's family and they had frosted animal crackers for the oxen...I'm totally doing that next year:)
