Luckily, we made it to the temple this last weekend. We didn't get great sleep the night before because of kids, so had a slow start, but we made it and were very grateful we did. Tommy was beyond excited! In the car, he said with a big grin, "Thanks mom for letting us go to the temple today!!" We explored the new Visitor's Center and had a great time. I even got to see some awesome friends from our old ward!!
We played outside in the fresh air. The boys love this rock and we visit it every time!
Hannah loved watching the boys.
I let the boys hike down this huge gully/ditch/whatever.
Barrett took them to the "Motorcycle Park" and they played and had a great time, then they rode their scooters around in an empty parking lot. Since we had a late start in the morning, we needed to eat dinner somewhere. Every day after school, Damon asks if we can go to a restaurant for dinner. We haven't been to a restaurant (other than Chick fil-A) since way before Hannah was born, so we stopped at Red Robin and crossed our fingers she'd cooperate. She did great until the check came and then she woke up screaming. I quickly took her to the car and fed her, then we were off and she yelled almost the rest of the way home, but it was worth stopping!! We splurged and let the boys each order a kid's meal...usually we make them share. Tommy loved his corn dog, fries, and root beer! We were so glad we were able to make it to the temple. We were in much need of some spiritual upliftment and it was wonderful.
