Tommy finally turned 5!! He's been super excited! I've never given my kids birthday parties with friends, but Tommy was dying to have one. He wanted a Lego Ninjago party and invited his 2 friends from church his age plus Damon.
His party invitations
The Ninjago lollipops we made...I thought they looked super cute!
His treat bags and some favors.
Tommy wanted waffles for breakfast!
He wanted to open some presents after breakfast too...we let him pick 4.
We got ready for party time! Barrett made 12 ninja stars and Tommy and I whipped the bad guys out.
We had a fun party! Each boy became a ninja with a headband. They colored their 3 ninja stars, then they practiced throwing them at the bad guys. We stacked up some boxes (we had plenty from Christmas!) and the little ninjas had to kick them down. Then they played Sensei Says until lunch of hot dogs and chips were ready. We opened presents, then they spent forever playing with the new toys! I even had to text the moms to tell them to come later! After cake and ice cream, we did the final ninja test...an obstacle course! The boys had to ride the tricycle across the back porch, swing on the rope over the snakes, run and slide down the slide, kick the box tower over, then throw the ninja stars at the bad guys!! It was really fun!
Tommy loved his birthday party and even told me during it, "Thanks for letting me have a party mom!" After his friends left, he opened the rest of his gifts from his family/grandparents. Grandma and Grandpa Weed gave him Legos which he built all by himself!! For dinner, Tommy wanted chicken nuggets. Then we had more cake:)
Barrett pulled out his phone to watch a video and all the kids were glued. Hannah had even leaned over to see:)
We love our Tommy. He is our little comedian. He loves to build things and pretend play. He loves to tie things up and play with toys and puzzles. He loves Ninjago and Legos. He is our little sweetheart and will come up and give us hugs and tell us he loves us. We're so glad he's part of our family!
